The sun is finally out and after months of living in socks and shoes or boots, it's time to get you feet sandal- ready! The following tips will prep you for the coming summer!
Tip #1: Exfoliate and moisturise
Even if you have had a long history of cracked heels or not, we highly recommend you to keep your feet hydrated. Wearing sandals everyday, you might notice your skin seems to be dryer than in winter. The reason is our skin exposes to the heat and wind way much more when wearing open shoes, so the skin can be lacking the moisture and hydration that it needs.
Gently rub the hard skin with a pumice stone and apply the high level urea cream on the heels, the top of the foot and the tips of the toes. Where possible, keep in between your toes dry and most of the time you don't need to moisturise these area. Instead use Tea Tree Oil spray or Walker's - Fresh Foot & Shoe Spray to keep them dry and prevent skin and nail fungus.

Tip #2: Don't forget SPF
Our feet get covered with socks during months of winter so make sure you protect them from the harsh sun this summer. It can be easy to forget to apply sunscreen to your feet but they just need as much sun protection as other parts of the body, especially when the beach is calling!
Tip #3: Walsh and repeat
It is always important to keep your feet clean by washing them everyday with soap and water all year long. Again, don't forget between your toes and finish off the feet cleaning routine with foot spray to prevent fungal infections.
Tip #4: Treat yourself
Have you heard of a medical pedicure? The treatment can get rid of excessively cracked skin and thickened toe nails that can be stubborn with home-treatment. Podiatrists are trained to provide the treatment and can help you resolve this problem.
Tip #5: Protect your feet
A well-fitting shoes or sandals can help prevent any foot injuries or referred pain in your knees or back. Reach out to our team for suggestion of podiatric-inspired footwear so you can protect your feet and look fashionable at the same time!
