Clinically Proven

The patented SteriShoe® sanitizer uses germicidal ultraviolet (UVC) light. The UVC light emitted by SteriShoe® is clinically proven to destroy microorganisms which will sanitize the inside of your shoes  by killing 99.9% of the microbes that cause toenail fungus, athlete’s foot and offensive shoe odour. The UVC light method of killing bacteria/microorganisms has been used for decades in a variety of settings including hospitals and water treatment systems.

Effective

Sweat from feet, along with the warm dark environment of your shoes causes them to become a breeding ground for the fungus and bacteria that cause not only toenail fungus, but also, athlete’s foot, and shoe odour.

Easy to use

When you take off your shoes just insert the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer into your shoes as you would insert a normal shoe tree, place in the bag provided. A simple press of a button starts a 45 minute treatment cycle. After 45 minutes up to 99.9% of the harmful microbes that can cause toenail fungus, athlete’s foot and offensive shoe odour are destroyed.

Safe

The UVC light is a powerful germicide. To prevent people from coming in direct contact with UVC light, the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer includes several safety features. First, a compression sensor requires that the SteriShoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer be in a shoe and slightly compressed. If the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer is treating a shoe and it is removed from the shoe, the compression sensor will shut the UVC light off. Second, an ambient light sensor pre-scans the environment before allowing the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer to turn on. If the ambient light sensor detects a dark environment, the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer will turn on; however, if enough light is detected it will not turn on. Two shoe bags are provided along with 2 straps for sandals or open back shoes so a user can compress and provide a dark environment for the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer to function safely.
